I offer several mentoring options from one-off consultations & idea generation sessions, to ongoing creative mentoring and detailed feedback on your work.

For writers, I can write a report on your completed draft manuscript, or appraise an opening chapter. Or I can discuss your synopsis, covering letter to agents and publishers as you begin your campaign towards publication.

For creatives in film, theatre, photography, gaming and interactive - I am expert in idea generation, revealing pathways when you’re stuck, offering suggestions re: funding streams and routes into communities of practice.

I am also part of an amazing network of organisations that support artists and if I feel you would benefit from their resources, rather than mine, I will never shy away from signposting you the direction that’s best for you.

I understand the arts landscape in the UK and the tough path artists have to travel to achieve recognition and success. Sometimes even reframing what success looks like!

    I offer one-off consultations on creative work in progress. For writers, this might be 5K words of a manuscript, or for filmmakers it could be a rough cut of your feature or short film.

    I am expert in idea generation and getting stuck people UNSTUCK.

    One-off consultations might also be about you. How you see yourself (or not) as an artist/writer and how to gain confidence and promote your unique skills in a hugely competitive marketplace.

  • MONTHLY MENTORSHIP

    My monthly mentorship programme is designed mainly for writers. It helps you stay on track with your writing and is perfect for those producing long-form memoir or fictional prose.

    Writers sign up for a minimum 6-month commitment and send up to 5K words every month which I annotate and return with structured comments, prior to an hour-long virtual meeting.

  • MANUSCRIPT APPRAISAL

    Let me give you professional feedback and advice on your draft manuscript.

    I will provide a clear and structured report on your story, plot, characters, style, voice, narrative arc … and more.

    I will make overarching suggestions and give an in-depth analysis of where I feel the story needs more work and where it is succeeding.

    The fee includes a one-hour virtual session to discuss the report.

    Fees start at £700 for 50K-75K words, although we can discuss the fee if your work is shorter.
